Perks, Perks, Perks!
Can you say free video games? That’s right! I’m allowed to check out all the used video games I want for free, and for as long as I want to! I just got Dead Space today, didn’t pay a dime. Whenever I decide to return it, I can get another game. Golden!
Also, I got a free pre-order code for Mirror’s Edge, meaning I can play the time trial events! Also, a large GoW2 cardboard cut-out. It’s super sweet.

Discounts!
15% off of any product in the store, minus game consoles! Not only that, but I get 15% more money when trading stuff in! Good deal, yo!

Ridiculously Easy Work!
You want to know what I did at work today? I hung up some signs, changed the displays, and swapped slipcovers. The entire time, I got to talk about video games and other nerdy goodness.

Gaming on the Job!
You want to know what I did after I was done with that? I played some Fable 2.

Fun People!
Many customers are freakin’ fun! They all want to talk about video games and movies, which I’m more than happy to discuss! Even the ones returning faulty products are in generally good spirits! Maybe they fear angering their retailers of fun?

Crushing Childrens’ Dreams!
A seven or eight year old kid came in today with his dad and tried to buy Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. As they picked it out, the dad asked about the game’s Mature rating. My coworker said, “It’s an incredibly violent game filled with gore, sex, drugs, and foul language. For instance, one way to restore your health is to have sex with a hooker in the back seat of your car. The game is definitely rated M for a reason.”
The dad immediately put it back, and the kid looked absolutely crushed at our betrayal.

Restoring Childrens’ Dreams!
Feeling bad for the little tyke, I recommended “True Crime.”
I said,
“It’s similar to Grand Theft Auto in a lot of ways, but it’s much less violent, and drugs and sex have been toned down quite a bit. It’s still an M-rated game, but it’s much cleaner than the Grand Theft Auto series of game. I’d recommend it as a good alternative to Grand Theft Auto, as long as you feel your kid can handle the game’s violent aspects.”

Watching Other People Crush Childrens’ Dreams!
Daddy said nope.

Sweet Hours Doing Fun Shit and Such!
Gears of War 2 Midnight Launch? Yes please! Black Friday Midnight to Six shift? Yeeha!

The Neighbors!
Everybody loves game retailers! We’re located next to a fantastic ice cream parlor who’ll occasionally throw us a discount! Double scoop, please.
