This song is FREAKIN AMAZING! I didn’t find out about disturbed until recently when I was downloading some torrents. Best in their genre. Their lyrics have meaning and the music moves you. The rhythms and chord progressions in their single Inside the Fire blow me away every time I hear it.

David Draiman describes the song as being real racy, “.. about me standing over the body of my girlfriend, who just killed herself, and the Devil is standing over me, whispering in my ear to kill myself.” This is really emphasized because when Draiman was 16, his girlfriend comitted suicide, saying “It was an unbelievably horrific and painful experience, and it was cathartic to make the song, and it really took me having a certain mindset to do it, and I had to wait ’til I was ready.”
The video is even more powerful because Draiman walks into his appartment to find his girlfriend who hung himself. He then quickly takes a gun to his mouth but is unable to kill himself and ends up in a mental institution.
